Beloved Child

Do you know how great the Father’s love is for you?  Those of us who attendend Monday Night Live this past week heard from Maggie Taylor of His great love for us.  She reminded us that in order to know, we must know His word.  It’s our job to get the word into our heads and God’s job to drop it down into our hearts and our souls to transform us.  When you are laying in bed at night… despairing and asking God for a word, it really helps if you know some scripture!  It helps to give the Holy Spirit something to work with!!!  Maggie closed her message and led us into worship with some profound truths found in the Scriptures of God’s love for us.  I’ve posted them here below and enocourage you to print them and keep them to read them throughout your lifetime.

Much love and blessings to you!

(Rom 5:8) But God has shown us how much he loves us—it was while we were still sinners that Christ died for us! (I Jn 1:9) [And] if we confess our sins to him, he can be depended on to forgive us and to cleanse us from every wrong. [And it is perfectly proper for God to do this for us because Christ died to wash away our sins.] (Titus 3:3-7) Once we, too, were foolish and disobedient. We were misled by others and became slaves to many wicked desires and evil pleasures. Our lives were full of evil and envy. We hated others, and they hated us. But then God our Savior showed us his kindness and love. He saves us, not because of the good things we did, but because of his jerky. He washed away our sins and gave us a new life through the Holy Spirit. He generously poured out the Spirit upon us because of what Jesus Christ our Savior did. (Jer 31:3-4) I have loved you [He says] with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself. I will rebuild you…You will again be happy and dance merrily. (Zeph 3:16-17) [So] don’t be afraid! He is a mighty Savior. He will rejoice over you with great gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will exult over you by singing a happy song. (I Pe 5:7) [And] you can throw the whole weight of your anxiety upon him, for you are his personal concern. (Ps 18:19) He brought you out into a spacious place; he rescued you because he delighted in you. (Jer 33:6) I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security. (Ps 103:10) He does not punish us as we deserve or repay us according to our sins and wrongs. (Eph 2:10) For we are God’s masterpiece. (Rom 8:31) God is for us…(Ps 34:5) [So] those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy: no shadow of shame will darken their face. (Rom 8:39) [And]…nothing will separate us from the love of God…(Is 43:2-3) When you pass through deep waters, I will be with you; your troubles will not overwhelm you. When you pass through fire, you will not be burned; the hard trials that come will not hurt you. For I am the Lord your God, the holy God of Israel, who saves you. (I Jn 4:16) We know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. (Heb 8:12) And I will forgive their wrongdoings, and I will never again remember their sins. (Rom 8:1) So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. (Lk 6:36)…he is kind to the ungrateful and the wicket. (Ps 50:51) [So you can] call on me in times of trouble. I will rescue you. (Ps.23:3) I will restore your soul. (Lam 3:22-23) [Because] The unfailing love of the Lord never ends! By his mercies we have been kept from complete destruction. (I Jn 3:1) See how very much our heavenly Father loves us, for he allows us to be called his children, and we really are! (NLT) (I Jn 3:1) How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! (NIV) (Ps 31:7-8) [So] I am radiant with joy because of your mercy, for you have listened to my troubles and have seen the crisis in my soul. (Titus 2:14) He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people… (Zeph 3:17) For the Lord your God has arrived to live among you. He is a mighty Savior. He will give you victory. He will rejoice over you with great gladness; he will love you and not accuse you. Is that a joyous choir I hear? No, it is the Lord himself exulting over you in happy song. (TLB) (Rom 5:5-8) God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly…[But] God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (2 Thes 3:4-5) [So] May the Lord bring you into an even deeper understanding of the love of God and the endurance that comes from Christ. (Titus 3:4-7) …God our Savior showed us his kindness and love. He saved us, not because of the good things we did, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins and gave us a new life through the Holy Spirit. He generously poured out the Spirit upon us because of what Jesus Christ our Savior did. He declared us not guilty because of his great kindness. (1 Jn 3:16) [And] we know that real love is because Christ gave up his life for us. (NLT) (I Jn 3:16) This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. (NIV) [And again the Lord says] (1 Jn 4:9-11) This is how God showed his love among us: He sent is one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. (NIV) (1 Jn 4:10) This is real love. It is not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his son as a sacrifice to take away our sins (NLT) (1 Jn 4:10) And [so] we know and rely on the love God has for us. (NIV) [and dear ones] (I Jn 4:17-19) There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment…we love because he first loved us. (NIV) (Jude 21) [So] Keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life (NIV). (Lam 3:22-24) The unfailing love of the Lord never ends! By his mercies we have been kept from complete destruction. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each day. I say to myself, “ The Lord is my inheritance; therefore, I will home in him!” (NLT) (Heb 4:16-5:1) So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it.
