Fear {Not}

Last night, the community of women at King’s Harbor Church gathered for a study  on fear.  Most people struggle with fear and anxiety to some degree and we have decided this is not something anyone should walk through alone.  We serve a God who has promised, He is with us and will never leave us.  Thankfully, one of the blessings of community is that we can be in this together and one of the ways God chooses to walk alongside us is through one another.

If you missed us last night, you can listen to the message by clicking here.

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” ~ Isaiah 41:10

“For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power, love and self-control.”

  1. Dear Suzie:
    I just listened to your message on Fear {Not} on-line. Oh my gosh, I needed that! I am struggling right now with the coming loss of my job in April and a potential move to Vermont early this summer. I’ve been praying for the courage to trust, for I know that I am being lead according to his purpose. I have been praying that God will show me what to do and how to do it, and more importantly how to glorify him through this. This is a giant change for me in my life at age 65, so my fears are compounded by my age factor, my insecurities of not being able to support myself gainfully until I seek my Social Security in Sept of 2012, and missing Calif, the only place I’ve ever lived, my beloved friends & neighbors, my beloved church and church family, and those from my church and dear Christian friends who have, without abandon inspired me in such a Godly way in my walk with Jesus. Thank you Suzie for your message. It helped me view my fears in such a different way and believe whatever the outcome is, Jesus is with me to the end. I am really, realy excited about looking forward to looking back to see what God will do with me to glorify his kingdom. I love you all at KHC!!!
