Walk Revived

As I sit here my heart is full, full with truth. My heart was suffering from a state of neglect. It needed to be restored; it needed to be brought back to life. Having just arrived back from this years Women’s Retreat I am REVIVED, because my heart has been given new life – I have been filled full of Gods Word, His love and a great reminder that I am and you are, WE are raised to new life with Christ. This is the truth that has been poured into my heart, soul and mind this weekend and because of this I am full of anticipation for what is to come.

Think of the things of heaven, not the things of earth. For you have died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God. Colossians 3:2-3

Let heaven fill your thoughts friends, walk into today knowing that you are a new creation who is being made new daily and because of this we can walk taking off the old – the bitter, the ugly, the resentment and wrath of this world and walk into putting on the love and hope of Jesus Christ.

“Let no one disqualify you,” said Suzie Lind.

This is not only for those that retreated this weekend; this is for all of us, each and everyone that comes to Jesus Christ because in Him we are made new. He reforms and reshapes us, all the while inviting us in to the work He is doing and His work is a holy and beautiful work and the beauty of this is that He, our Lord and Savior never holds back His love from us, His love is for us. Each and every one of us.

This is a choice friends, a choice for us – whether we choose to stay in the pit of our circumstances, believing the lies of this world and allowing the heaviness of those lies to build up and spill over or we can choose to rise up, look heavenward and see God, allow Him to breath life into us through His word and believe that the word of God is for us. The word of God is truth and is to be taken hold of. He is our hope. He is our source of truth. When the lies of this world take hold, the Word Of God is the only way we can defeat those lies. This friends is REVIVAL.

Since God chose you to be the holy people He loves. Colossians 3:12

GOD CHOOSES US! We are his holy people whom He LOVES. Say it with me – I am chosen, I am holy, I am beloved, by the King. This is for you and if you don’t know this, if you think there is no way He could love you this much I want you to hear this: God has no favorites. He loves you as much as He loves me and He wants all of us to walk in that truth – we are His chosen, holy, beloved people.

Christ is all that matters and He lives in all of us. Colossians 3:11

Walk in this truth today, take off the old that weighs you down and has your eyes looking at the things of this earth instead put on this new life you have been raised to with Christ and set your sights on the realities of Heaven, let heaven fill your thoughts, we have died to this life and our real lives are hidden with Christ in God.

About joymsteed

"This is the day the Lord has made I will rejoice and be glad in it." Psalm 118:4 I love this verse but the problem is I, more often than not, spend so much time rushing through the day that I don't think I really embrace what God is telling me through this verse. So, I am deciding to stand still or at least go slow and enjoy the days and the blessings that come, all of them; the ordinary and the extraordinary, the hard and the good, catching the moments wrapped up in each and giving thanks for the journey I am on. I am blessed to venture forward with my husband of 20 years and our two daughters, life has been hard and good and taken us places we never imagined we would go - both standing still and moving. God has been good and now as we enter a new stage, that point where our family road begins to have forks that are leading our girls to begin chapters in their stories that are separate from our story and although this excites me it also makes me wonder what's next for this mom, where do I go from here and what will this next chapter look like for me? I don't have the answers yet, what I do know though is that God is good and I know that He is going to lead and I will obediently follow, leaning in, standing still and rejoicing in the days ahead, the good and the hard days, the ordinary and the extraordinary days and the blessings wrapped in each. Thanks for stopping by and joining in my journey!
